As the school year and fall seasons approach there have been many “fresh faces” on campus. On this segment of Fresh Faces, I introduce you to Talise Romain, a freshman on the soccer team.

Talise is from Naperville, Illinois. She started playing soccer when she was four years old, but soccer wasn’t the only sport she played. Talise also grew up playing basketball, softball, and she ran on her track and field team.

Being an only child Romain looked up to soccer legend Pele as her role model. After Talise made the transition from high school to college she says her biggest struggle has been learning to live with other people.

When it came to choosing to come to Florida, Romain said that was an easy choice. Talise wanted to be a Gator because of what the team is all about. She says she loves the team first attitude and how close everyone is.

In the future Talise hopes to major in forensic entomology and she is looking forward for a great freshman season with the Gator soccer team.
