Team Concept Blog

To get a group of almost 40 student-athletes to come together and spend what little free time they have to create a website requires a team of dedicated leaders. Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is the sounding voice for the student-athlete body who serves as the leadership of the different teams.

Since the fall of last year, a group of SAAC Executive Board members got together to deliver the idea for what would become The Gator Grind. Over countless late night meetings and bottles of Gatorade, SAAC and the Blog Committee took the necessary steps to make it possible.

First, SAAC established the Blog Committee, comprised of student-athletes with specific skillsets who wanted to see the project come to life. After proposing the idea to the University Athletic Association, they understood our plan and vision, we were given the opportunity to shine a new light on our athletic prgram.

Our collaboration included enlisting SAAC members and other student-athletes to help gather photos, content and talent from a variety of areas. We understand that every athlete offers something special and unqiue. Whether it is an interesting extracirricular activity that may be great for a blog entry to creative design skiils, we embrace the talents of student-athletes as we aim to keep the website designed and solely managed by student-athletes. Through all our combined efforts we make the Gator Grind team.
